1. Description of Service

BibleStep is a personal Bible study tool that helps you read Scripture, capture sermon and personal notes, track prayers, and build a visible rhythm of Bible engagement. It is available at app.biblestep.com.

BibleStep offers a free tier and a paid BibleStep Plus subscription. Features of each plan are described on the Billing page within the app.

2. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service or its underlying code.
• Upload content that is abusive, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.

BibleStep is a personal, private tool. Your notes and prayers are visible only to you.

4. BibleStep Plus Subscription

• BibleStep Plus is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually.
• Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice.

5. Bible Content

Bible texts used in BibleStep are sourced from public-domain translations:

• World English Bible (WEB) — public domain, sourced from eBible.org.
• Russian Synodal Bible — public domain, sourced from eBible.org.

These translations are free to read and use for personal study.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of any notes, prayers, and other content you create in BibleStep. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not access, read, or use your personal notes or prayers for any purpose other than delivering the Service.

7. Availability and Changes

We strive to keep BibleStep available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you via email or a notice within the app.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BibleStep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings.
